The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

i bet everyone (mainly teenagers) is already familiar with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, right?
it has been approximately 2 weeks since the movie was ranked #1 on IMDb charts.

how much money do you think the production house made? the answer is...
 *drumroll*

over 250 millions USD! in only two weeks by the way.
what?! now i feel like i am the poorest person in the world.
(i know that i've made a regular-sized sin just by saying this, considering that there are lots of people in Africa who are starved :( #PrayForAfrica)
anyway, the production house really deserve all the rewards. i mean, they worked hard for this and it pays off. there's actually only one word i have to describe this movie.
F-A-S-C-I-N-A-T-I-N-G.

first thing first!
these are the main casts:

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen
Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark
Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne
Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket
Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy
Lenny Kravitz as Cinna
Donald Sutherland as President Snow
Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee

The movie starts with a clarification to the audience that Gale and Katniss are into each other, but their love story is interrupted by President Snow. he visits Katniss' home in District 12 and tells Katniss that he knows everything about all the lies regarding Katniss and Peeta's love affection, he even starts to persuade Katniss into doing another fake acting with Peeta during their tour, considering that they are the most popular couple in The Capitol and everyone loves them being together. Otherwise, he threatens Katniss that he will even hurt her family.
It gets a little intense when Katniss finds out that the officials agrees to enact what is called as Quarter Quell, which basically means all of the remaining Hunger Games winners will be fighting against each other in the arena.
Surprisingly, in the end, all of the participants agree to stick together against The Capitol, largely, President Snow.

This is such a brilliant movie that is adapted from also brilliant trilogy books by Suzanne Collins. There are some parts of the movie that talk about science theories (which, IRONICALLY ENOUGH, i dont understand). I think that this movie is a whole-package, it has romance, affections, drama, actions, and not to mention this movie is also crazily thrilling for me.
I love the fact that Peeta and Katniss gets some kind of vibes for each other in the middle of the movie, but what about Gale? hmm scandalous, right?

HOWEVER
i am still not over the fact that it ends with a cliffhanger, leaving the audiences wonder about what is going to happen next. that is cruel, Hollywood. you would be as mad as me by the time you watch it!

self reflection:
If i were Katniss, i'd be also pissed as *censors* and prolly kill all the officials in The Capitol with my archery skills!
